Seller's comments about 1969' Ferrari 365

Ferrari 365 GT 2+2 1969 HISTORY It was at the 1967 Paris Motor Show that Ferrari unveiled the 365 GT 2+2, the new gran turismo for men. The 365 GT 2+2, designed by Pininfarina with direct influence from the iconic 500 Superfast, quickly attracted the attention of the jet set and celebrities of the day. Frank Sinatra, Francois Hardy, Miles Davies and many others were among its famous owners. In no uncertain terms, the 365 GT was not only a beautiful car, but also quite fast and usable, thanks to its 2+2 layout and combination with an extraordinary Colombo V12 engine and a five-speed gearbox. A combination that proved more than successful. Among its famous owners, Enzo Ferrari himself owned one, as he was always enthusiastic about the gentlemanly GTs of which he was proud.
OUR CAR Delivered new to Australia as LHD and finished at the time Ivory 2, 662, 016 (Ivory), original interior colour: Beige VM 3218 Connolly. The car was delivered new to dealer W. H. Lowe in Australia (Lowe Order #847) for Chris Auto. In the late 1970s the car was imported to Greece by a Greek industrialist. In the 1980s it was sold to the late G Moschous, a famous racing driver and Fiat Group dealer, who painted it red. It was featured in various articles and magazines of the time and was always loved and cared for. Later the car was sold to the Skouras family (20th Century Fox) where it saw a complete restoration in the early 00s and was painted silver with a black leather interior and no expense spared. In 2013 the car was sold at the Auto Athena auction in Athens, Greece to a collector. In 2021 the car was sold to a shipping magnate who traded it in for another Ferrari. During this time it underwent various maintenance work, including a complete rebuild of the engine and gearbox, a complete steel exhaust, etc. A lovely car, in excellent condition, with a wonderful ownership history and an extraordinary Ferrari to own.
