The 1949 Ford F-1 was the first generation of the F-Series, and this patina pickup looks like it has been to work since the beginning... so how cool is that??? But while you have a worn-in style and flathead V8 power, youll also discover some nice added comforts like an updated interior and newer modern tires for the right classic cruiser attitude. The patina here is man-made. It gives you a consistent barn find appearance thats hard to get without someone taking the time to properly envision a project. After all, one look at this one and you can see it wants to show off a two-tone black and green that has also eroded into the red primer underneath. Its a thoughtful arrangement that tells the whole story in one glance. We also like the details, including the grille looking distinct in white, classic Ford hubcaps, and a pre-war-style two-piece rear bumper. Theres even a hint of true cruiser attitude with the glossy wood in the truck bed, side exhaust tips, and a touch of stance from the wider rear tires. Its all about making this F-1 a festival for your eyes. The interior is the right amount of updated to be more comfortable without losing its classic charm. Pieces like the full carpeting, shoulder seatbelts, an AM/FM radio, proper heater, and cup holder center console are far more comfortable than what you got in 49. And the bucket seat borrowed from a late-model Mustang a huge step up from the classic flat bench. Even with the upgrades, theres still plenty of vintage style with the smooth steel dash, airy feeling of the cab, and classic action of the three-speed floor shifter. And you can enjoy the drive with a wood-rimmed sports steering wheel, upgraded white-faced gauges, and a handy column-mounted tach. The worlds of vintage and upgraded come together nicely under the hood. You still get the classic flathead V8 power, but this 255 cubic-inch unit was the larger one given the Mercury division. It also has been upgraded to be a better cruiser with a 12-volt conversion that allows for an alternator, HEI distributor, and a nice electric fan for the aluminum radiator. Its even stated that the low odometer represents the mileage on the motor build. This is a strong powerhouse, and it makes a sweet tune out of the dual exhaust. The suspension feels vintage but confident, which is the right theme for this full truck. You even have a newer set of modern cruising tires. This is a terrific patina that adds comfort and usability while retaining all the charm you want in a first-gen F-Series. Thats why this is an irresistible cruiser. Call today!!!
