Seller's comments about 1978' Ford F-350

This tidy 1978 Ford F-350 Camper Special pickup gets things right where it matters. It has a ton of terrific vintage details to keep it a cool survivor-style machine, and there are the right investments to keep it a solid-driving true truck. And you just know theres something absolutely awesome about having a retro-cool slide-in camper that carries the best amenities to remain a useful home-away-from-home. Truck fans instantly recognize the unique profile of a (Super) Camper Special. Ford pushed the rear axle to the back to elongate the wheelbase and make this a better riding machine for those wanting to use it for a slide-in camper like this. So not only is it useful, but its also an instantly recognizable distinction for those of us who love trucks. In fact, this one really looks like a truck lovers pickup. It has great XLT-level details like the big chrome bumper, full-length trim, and classic wheel covers over the F-350s robust 8-lug wheels. The factory-correct Cream and Dark Brown Metallic have been given a more recent respray that makes this one look exceptional. It has terrific details for both form and function. It includes unique tow hitch steps, a second set of side mirrors, trailer running lights, and a full-size spare under the special side compartment. Even the trucks name is unique. The Camper Special was on Fords books for many years before they created these extreme rear-wheel machines. So when they upgraded the wheelbase they also upgraded the name to a Super Camper Special. But the Super was dropped after a few years when the Super Cab came around. Its little details like this that remind you why we love unique trucks. The truck cabs interior loves to have a classic journeyman attitude. That means good-looking vinyl on the seats, vintage wood-like trim, and the classic dual-spoke steering wheel. This is even a factory A/C truck (it will need a belt and/or service to blow cold again.) And you have upgraded driving music with an AM/FM/CD stereo with USB and Bluetooth. Of course, the interior you really want to know about is the camper. It has that awesome 1970s vintage style with earth-tones, flowers, and plenty of wood paneling. It looks and feels like you stepped into a time machine because the clean and fresh feeling makes it all quite inviting. Its quite comfortable and spacious with a dining table, proper kitchen, and a sleeper above the cab. It has the right features like a refrigerator, full interior lighting, and cold-blowing air conditioning. The faucet and toilet were not tested. The water pump does work, but there is no water currently in the system. But the level of care in this truck and even winterization fluid in the system suggests it all functions. You may need a new propane tank before using the oven. This was born with a 460 cubic-inch V8, and so its great to still have this displacement under the hood today. But while this may look stock, if you dig deeper, you can see it now inhales deeper with an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor. And youll also see good maintenance that keeps this a strong runner. Power steering, power brakes, front discs, and the heavier duty three-speed C6 automatic transmission are features to make your journeys easier. Complete with owners manual, this is such a cool classic camper that is ready right now for so many weekend adventures. But the only way to have fun with this unique F-350 tomorrow is if you call today!
