Seller's comments about 1939' Mercedes-Benz 170V

Beautiful, functional and complete.
Compatibility of numbers with data sheet.
The 1939 Mercedes-Benz 170V Roadster is a beautiful and rare car.
The Mercedes-Benz 170V was the most frequently produced passenger car of this brand in the pre-war period. From 1936 to 1942, almost 75,000 units of the model left the factory. After the war - production resumed in 1946 - it was also a success and helped the German automotive industry recover from the destruction of war. By 1955, another 65,000 units were produced, more than half of which were diesel versions, offered from 1949. It was the third passenger car in history and the first after the war with a diesel engine.
The success of the model is due to its simple and reliable design and the multitude of varieties. Two- and four-door limousines, two- and four-door tourist versions, a convertible limousine with four doors, a two-door, four-seater Cabrio B, Roadster and even cargo versions were offered. The exclusive Mercedes-Benz 170V Cabrio A, of which a modest number of 794 units were produced, was hand-made in the department of the company that creates cars to individual orders.
It is powered by a four-cylinder engine with a capacity of 1.7 liters and a power of 38 HP, which accelerates the car to just over 110 km/h. It can accommodate four people.
It is worth checking the offer because it is an investment with a 100% profit.
What is rare, the car still has its first paint, it has never undergone any paint or bodywork repairs. It is up to the new owner to decide what to do next with this beautiful piece.
Preserving its originality and maintaining its charming patina may be an interesting path. After all, there are only a fraction of a percent of such well-maintained, over 70-year-old cars on the market, and preserving the evidence of time is becoming more and more appreciated among collectors involved in the classic car market.
