In addition to the Mercedes 300 SL Gullwing and the 190 SL, the 280 Pagoda has become a sought-after collector's and investment item. Especially in “matching numbers” condition like this restored roadster on offer. To ensure the best possible preservation of an original condition, all technical components were not replaced but were meticulously reconditioned. As you can see from the photos, this also affects the instrument cluster and displays (VDO).

This two-seater classic car has a condition grade of 1 and is in perfect overall condition with its DB 462 Tunis Beige metallic paint, red genuine leather interior and fabric top. A hardtop has already been prepared but still needs to be completed.

With the 4-speed automatic transmission, the Mercedes can be moved wonderfully and, with its 170 hp and a sporty/comfortable chassis, it is also suitable for longer journeys. In terms of safety, Mercedes also introduced a rigid passenger cell and crumple zones, while seat belts and headrests were also available as optional extras.

After more than half of the W113 series (characteristic of this period was more space, an angular, unusual design line, the absence of decorative elements and more powerful engines) were delivered to the USA, there are of course a lot of vehicles - like this one too - about re-imports from overseas. Incidentally, 7,935 of the pagoda, built in 1970, left the factory.

Other notable information: - Engine, gearbox and all add-on parts match the birth certificate - Mercedes-Benz data card available! - Colors of the paint, interior and fabric top are not matching - Spare wheel, jack available - The Mercedes has only been driven once since the engine was overhauled ~330 km moved - parts of the engine technology overhauled by a well-known German restoration company - baroque rims including whitewall tires - spare wheel, jack, on-board tools available - Becker "Europe" radio - km/h speedometer - stainless steel exhaust system - electric. antenna

The pagoda can be viewed and test driven by appointment (appropriate purchase interest and creditworthiness are required).
