We are delighted to offer this stunning, low mileage, low ownership late R107 model 300SL onto the market. G322 UPO has covered just 48, 500 miles from new, has been with its most recent owner for 22 years and was ordered new in the highly desirable Smoke Silver with optional Cream leather and rear seats. The SL comes with its original service book, handbooks, factory hard top and period upgraded alloys that have been on the car since its early life.
G322 UPO was supplied new by Lancaster Europe Ltd in Sheffield on the 8th August 1989 and registered in the first owners Eastleigh based Company's name. At just one month old, the car was transferred into his wife's name at their Wakefield, West Yorkshire address. In 1994 the SL sold to a lady, also in Wakefield and in 1997 the car changed hands again within Wakefield. In 2000, the SL sold to the most recent owner based near York by the reputable Philip Welch, a former long standing prestigious car sales Company on the outskirts of York. In total, the SL has had just four owners from new.

This has always been a properly maintained car, first serviced by the supplying dealership Lancaster Europe at 792 miles on 5th September 1990. Wakefield Mercedes Benz dealership Derwent Vehicles began maintaining the car from 1993 with services stamped in the book at 1761, 4903, 6691 and 11197 miles in 1997. Between 1997 and 2000 the SL covered over 20, 000 miles, and in 2000 Philp Welch serviced the car at 33683 miles, the following year servicing again at 36521 miles. The long-term owners more local garage in the village of Tholthorpe serviced the car at 39681, 42156 and 45588 before it was serviced again by Philip Welch at 45725 miles.

The Mercedes Benz has been superbly maintained, it has benefited from regular oil changes and waxoyling, and has been very carefully owned and garaged. Invoices for servicing accompany the service book, along with many MOT certificates. Maintenance and upkeep with the recent owner include a new exhaust system, brake calipers, brake pads and its clear from the condition the car has been maintained with no expense spared. The car drives beautifully, the inline six cylinder engine performs perfectly and is in exceptional condition, the smooth gear changes are fabulous and the car handles and holds the road with luxury, comfort, quality and class. This 300SL is cosmetically very impressive with excellent bodywork with straight panels, has clearly never suffered from major corrosion, and the Smoke Silver paintwork and brightwork are fabulous. The upholstery is as expected of a well-kept, original, low mileage car. This is an R107 that has never required restoration, and finding original cars like this at a sensible price point is not easy.
