Seller's comments about 1967' Mercedes-Benz Klasa S

I am selling a unique Mercedes-Benz W108 250S from 1967 - a car that defined the era of the S-class. This is a car for connoisseurs who appreciate the engineering of the 1960s - a synonym of luxury and durability, something for those who feel the soul of Mercedes from the times when cars were made by engineers, not accountants. The copy is very well preserved, the engine, gearbox and suspension work beautifully. This car doesn't run, it floats. When you sit behind the wheel, you feel the smell, atmosphere and spirit of classic motoring. A lot of heart, time and a lot of money has been invested in the car. Done: gearbox, brakes, suspension, carburetors, replaced fluids and filters, rubber suspension elements, front and rear shock absorbers, new fuel tank, new muffler, new fuel pump, new brake servo. There are of course a few things to do and in such a monument there will always be, but this is not a car for everyone Specification: - Engine: Inline six M108 2508 cm³, 142 HP, 2 Solex 40 carburetors - Transmission: 4-speed automatic, identical to the one in Pagoda W113 - gears in the steering column. - Equipment: front/rear electric windows, Becker Europa radio, cruise control, air conditioning. All options in accordance with the codes on the nameplate. Bodywork and painting - no interference. Paint: original Dunkelblau 332G according to the Glasurit palette - a deep navy blue that Mercedes used in its best years. Factory paint, no putty, no structural rust. The chassis was secured with the factory "lamella", nothing was repaired, polished or welded. The interior is in light MB Tex - original upholstery, preserved in detail. Original windows and wooden elements of the dashboard. Original chrome in great condition. The car is registered as a historic monument in Poland. It has signs of decent use, typical of a 58-year-old car, but it does not require any outlay - it is an investment that benefits with each season. I have all the original elements that were replaced and are giving them free of charge to the new owner. Additionally, the factory owner's manual and service booklet. Original tires for which I have an invoice from 1982. I took them off because I don't trust them due to their age, but they are in perfect condition. I am also giving away a large package of original instructions, invoices and bills for servicing performed by the first owner. What is unique is a certificate and a series of bills for paint protection (done on a new car) and continued many years later. I am not a dealer, I bought the car in 2018 for myself, it was not intended for sale. Unfortunately, sometimes life writes its own scenarios and I had to make this difficult decision. I am only interested in serious offers from people who will be able to appreciate what the car represents. I would like the car to stay in Poland, that's why I haven't listed it on foreign websites yet. Please contact me, I will be happy to show you, transport you and tell you more
