1973 Mini 850 in incredible original structural condition with just 13, 000 miles from new by one owner with service history and every fuel fill up from new listed in a little notebook. This shows the car was only used from new in 1973 until 1988 when it was taken off the road and put into storage. Original shipping documents show registered new in the UK and then immediately shipped to South Africa on a Ministry of Defence transfer to Jo'burg from where we recently re-imported it. It now sports new Falken tyres all round but to illustrate originality the original crossply tyres in the photos were still fitted at the front of the car until we replaced them. It has never needed or been welded, retains all original paint, factory bodywork, panel gaps and has great patina. In it's many years of storage off road it has gathered a couple of dents and scuffs here and there. Years ago the owner painted rust prevention treatment in a couple of areas on the rear of the car and there is also residue of years old waxoyl in the engine bay which are areas that could be improved upon as you go along with the car. It has just been re-commissioned and newly serviced with new parts fitted where necessary and now runs and drives nicely with the engine sounding particularly smooth in line with it's super low mileage.
