Seller's comments about 1967' Porsche 911

Welcome to Oldie Point!
We are constantly looking for classic cars and youngtimers!
We look forward to your offer!

Porsche presented the 911 in September 1963 at the IAA in Frankfurt am Main. From the summer of 1966 (model year 1967), the top model was the 911 S (Super) with a higher compression 160 hp carburettor engine. This sporty variant could be recognized by the distinctive light alloy wheels from Fuchs, the Fuchsfelgen. From September 1968 (model year 1969), the wheelbase of the 911 was extended by 57 mm - a measure to curb the tendency to oversteer. That’s why the early generation of the 911, also known as “SWB” (short wheel base), is very popular these days!

The example presented here was factory painted in 6608 Aga blue and delivered to Autogerma Bologna in Italy in March 1967. Now very extensive and without regard to costs, but at the same time carefully not "over-restored" in Austria, this early 911 S according to the manufacturer's certificate still has the original 160 hp engine, the original 5-speed gearbox, as well as the original 4.5J x 15 Fuchs rims. At the owner's request, the vehicle was repainted in 6601 slate gray, based on the model of Steve McQueen's legendary 911 from the film "Le Mans" (1971). After this restoration, which was extensively documented with photos and invoices, the vehicle was classified as historical in Austria in 2015 and has since then been moved very little as part of a larger vintage car collection.
