HooG Selections has once again added a very special Porsche to its collection. This concerns an original 911/ 930 3. 0 Turbo delivered in Germany in February 1977. In the late 1960s, Porsche began experimenting with turbo technology in its race cars, and from 1972 onwards, the brand started developing a 911 equipped with a turbocharged engine. The initial reason for the production of the 911 Turbo was closely related to FIA regulations, which stipulated that cars in Group 4 and 5 categories had to be production cars available to private buyers through the respective dealer network. The first series of the 911 Turbo, equipped with a 3. 0-liter engine, proved so popular that by May 5, 1976, the thousandth unit had already been built. Between 1975 and 1978, a total of 2, 819 units of this first series were manufactured. Apart from the history of the 911/ 930 Turbo described above, we would like to introduce you to the specific model offered here. Finished in 'Grandprix White' with a 'Schwarz' leather interior, this 930 3. 0 Turbo left the factory in February 1977. It's important to note that factory options 68, 220, 351, 422, 469, and 650 were selected at the time of ordering. These include a leather interior, limited-slip differential, Blaupunkt 'Traffic Pilot', Blaupunkt 'Bamberg' radio, black headliner, and electric sliding sunroof. Many features that are not even standard in cars today! The history of the 930 Turbo offered by us is extensive. The car spent its first 5 years in Germany and was then exported to Sweden. Here, it remained in the possession of the same owner for 35 years until 2017 when, with much reluctance, they decided to part ways, presenting HooG Selections with the opportunity to acquire the 930. Thanks to the fantastic condition of the 930 and its long-term ownership history, this is a truly exceptional specimen. If you have been captivated by the above praise, we strongly recommend contacting our showroom. We look forward to welcoming you to Katwijk aan Zee!
