Seller's comments about 1962' Triumph TR3

Produced in June 1962.Final year of production for this model.The TR3 b with the *** 2. 2 litre engine (instead of 2. 0) and a fully synchronized gearbox was produced exclusively for export to the United States market.It represented the ultimate evolution of a model already near the end of its career.This very rare example was ordered and delivered by the Italian importer of the era as requested by a particular customer residing in the city of Venice in distant 1962.According to information certified by Triumph archives, it is believed to be the only one delivered in Italy together with a few dozen allocated to other European customers.The TR3 was going out of production, soon to be replaced by the new TR4 model.In 1966 this Triumph was sold to a new owner residing in the Province of Padua and, as was customary at the time, the number plate was changed to follow the new owner’s residence.Today it still bears its plate *** Province PD on a black background, square format.Subsequently restored in the nineties while maintaining the original colour scheme, the original engine and its very rare hard top to match the body colour, it has been wonderfully preserved and kept efficient year after year up to today.Recently serviced in a meticulous and thorough manner and equipped with 4 new Michelin tyres, it is ready to undertake any journey today.Ideal for rallies and reliability/ sports events.Black hard top to match the body colour, white soft top, red leather interior.A striking combination paired with the vintage Italian registration.Heritage certificate available, owner’s handbook, vehicle history, historical documentation and photographic publication in a noted industry magazine.A unique opportunity to acquire one of the best TR3s currently available for sale.For information: the details below
