When the young Bertil, also the future teacher of economics, would hang out a lot in England after his studies, he thought it was best to take the custom wherever you go, to drive on the left side. Right-hand traffic would be introduced in Sweden the following year, 1967, but Bertil intended to visit England on holiday every year and so he did.
