Verkäuferkommentare zu 1927' Austin 12/4 Clifton Tourer
A rare opportunity to acquire a vehicle which was owned by the same family from 1927 until 2013 when the present owner purchased it. Black and maroon in colour the vehicle was on the road from 1927 - 1941, with wartime fuel rationing and its thirsty nature, it was sidelined to the barn. In 1943 Kesteven County Council wanted to purchase it and convert it into an ambulance, this never happened although that year it was converted into a Farmers Truck which spoiled the appearance but had it running on ‘red’ petrol. It continued to be road worthy until 1955 when it was retired to “run on the farms”. During 1967 and 1968 it was stripped to the bones and restored to its original and former glory. Up to the millennium it was listed in the Vintage Austin register. Since then it reverted to runs on the farms and was then sold to the present owner in 2013. It is now garaged and some work is required, the radiator has been reconditioned in the last two years and other parts loving restored.
