For sale is a 1940 Ford Pickup Truck located in our Indianapolis Showroom. This custom frame off build started with taking a steel body 1940 Ford truck and chopping the top 4 inches, shortening the bed 10 inches and the frame 7 inches, rear roll pan with four blue dot styled tail lights frenched into the pan, and then fiberglass fenders and running boards were put on. The bed of the truck received a few custom touches as well with the addition of a custom tailgate and a diamond plate bed floor. This 1940 Ford Pickup Truck is powered by a rebuilt Chevrolet 350 CID V8 engine, backed by a TH350 3-speed automatic transmission, and running to a 10 Bolt Posi rear end with 3.73 gears. The engine is coming off a recent rebuild with only 650 miles on it and is fitted with a polished Edelbrock Performer Aluminum Intake, 600 CFM Edelbrock 4-Barrel Carburetor, and chrome valve covers and air cleaner. A new four core cross flow radiator was put in along with a transmission cooler to help keep the engine and transmission cool while you are out enjoying a cruise. Up front, a Mustang II front end with rack and pinion steering was put in along with power front disc (rear drum) brakes allowing for better handling and braking capabilities. The interior is outfitted with black carpeting, a gray cloth bench seat with arm rests, tilt steering column, Mahogany Grant steering wheel, 1920's brass fire extinguisher, diamond plate door panels, power windows, tinted glass, and a nice set of VDO gauges in the dash.
