This car has been rebuilt from the chassis up . The chassis has been cleaned and painted , rear axle rebuilt . Front axle and brake system rebuilt with new linings and powder coated operating mechanism . The friction shock absorbers were rebuilt with new parts . The ash frame was in sound condition , aluminium panels replaced , steel panels cleaned and rust proofed . The body was then painted in black cellulose as original . The engine was rebuilt with new white metal big ends and main bearings , new cam bearings and drive gears . The cone clutch was relined , the gear box was checked and the gear change was overhauled . The carburretor was restored by experts as were the magneto and dynamotor (new chain). All nickel plated parts were replated and the windscreen glass replaced . The headlamps and sidelamps were restored by specialists as were vacuum wipers , autovac and cut out . The instruments and switch panel were checked and the dashboard reveneered . The interior was rebuilt as original with vinyl covering being more weather proof . The hood was replaced in canvas using the original metal mechanism and new wooden bows . I have bills for more than £10,000 from specialist restorers / suppliers . I added an electric cooling fan as a precaution and have added flashing indicators and brake lights for safety . Since returning this car to the road I have covered very few miles , the engine is not yet run in . I have collected many used spare parts , front axle , differential , brake parts , half shafts etc. I am sure there is more that I have not remembered .
