We are delighted to offer this truly superb and very useable 1930's Ford V8 onto the market. This impressive motor car has been subject of a complete and thorough, although sympathetic nut and bolt restoration with some notable mechanical upgrades. The Ford is UK registered, is in exceptional condition throughout and drives superbly. The car has come from one of our long term Gloucestershire based customers and is absolutely on the button and ready to go.

The original 85 HP Ford 221 Flat head engine was fully stripped and totally rebuilt and upgraded with Offenhauser alloy cylinder Heads, twin inlet alloy manifold, Isky Camshaft, Twin original rebuilt Holly Carbs, Mallory electronic Ignition and a host more. This part of the restoration amounted to a cost of over $10,000 and has been meticulously documented in the history file with thorough invoices and a superb photographic record. The engine now produces 120bhp and purrs along giving that gorgeous flathead V8 sound and easily keeps up with modern traffic. The gearbox was also fully rebuilt, plus the suspension and shock absorbers were fully upgraded and the brakes were converted to a new hydraulic system. All electrics were renewed and converted to 12V .

Our Ford looks truly stunning in its original black coachwork and is a very stylish example of pure Americana Art Deco. The paint finish gleams and the bodywork is exceptional with gorgeous straight panels. External subtle modifications include the fully louvered bonnet for extra engine cooling and modification to the suspension that gives it the perfect stylish look plus immensely improved road handling. The interior trim is also in excellent order throughout, all the gauges switches and lights work correctly. Included is an original pair of very rare rear wheel arch covers, these were a fashionable art deco period option that were designed to completely encase both rear wheel arches to make the car look even more streamlined This particular front end style of Fords two seater coupe was only built during 1938 as Ford did quite radicle alterations of the design each production year.
