Commentaires du vendeur sur 1949' Simca 8 Canadienne

1949 Simca 8 Canadienne
Bodywork is in good condition, older respray, don't know from when.
Woodwork is in very good restored condition, lacquer all around seems freshly done.
All doors and rear close properly, keys work with drivers door and rear. Passenger door is locked from inside.
All glass is perfect, all sliding glass works as it should.
Wipers work manually; vacuum system is not hooked up.
Instruments: speedo not functioning because of Ford transmission( i drive with tomtom, so i can read km/h). Tachometer, thermometer, fuel level work. Switches are new old style.
Steering wheel is from a 30s Lancaster, restored.
Gear lever is new, short-throw for the T9 ford 5-speed. The ball ("YEEHAAA") is new.
All upholstery is in good condition, no cracks or rips. Rear bench can be put down.
Door panels in good condition. All looks original.
Rubber floormats, with black carpet in front.
Thermal isolation stuff on firewall and tunnel.

Engine:
New crate engine with 0 km, Ford Zetec, 2.0, 16v.
Stock inside.
Exhaust header handmade in stainless, wrapped in titanium heatwrap. Not cheap Chinese stuff...
Rest of pipes also stainless. Smithy glasspack muffler.
Intake is aftermarket, with overhauled Solex carbs.
Raceline waterrail with integral thermostat housing. New thermostat and cap. New hoses. Thermoswitch fitted, but not needed. Without extra fan, the original radiator keeps it nice and cool. No leaks. New old stock radiator cap.
No heater fitted, but connections for that are on the Raceline waterrail, now plugged off.
Rerouted carter ventilation ( the red bottle). New external oil filter relocation kit. (So you can actually reach the filter for ease of replacement).
New Daihatsu dynamo, new battery.
Complete car is rewired.
MegaJolt Lite Jr. aftermarket ignition unit inside car, behind that old radio on passenger side. Uses the Ford crankshaft trigger and vacuum signal: works perfectly!
New starter motor.
New clutch and friction plate. New hydraulic clutch.
Ford T9 5-speed gearbox with new seals and gaskets and fresh oil. Did not need overhauling.
Custom propshaft, new bearings.
Ford Capri rear axle, mk2 Escort drum brakes with all hardware new. Diff is 3.90. Fresh oil n gaskets/seals. Axle was set up by a rallysport company.
Front suspension is Opel B Kadett, converted to new, custommade and adjustable coilovers.
Opel C Kadett 1600 discs (new) and calipers (overhauled). New bearings.
Single master cilinders for brake and clutch, both new. Residual pressure valves in front and back of the system, as well as all brake lines (cunifer, not copper), are new.
Simca pedalbox was adapted for these new stuff, looks stock inside.
50 Pontiac repro taillights. Brake lights and indicators work in USA style.
Original Simca headlights, perfect reflectors. Original front indicators on the fenders.
Grill in perfect condition.
Wheels and hubcaps are original, 16". Hubcaps on wheels are newly chromed, the one on the spare wheel I just found, so not chromed. But in good chromable condition.
Tyres are Avon crossplies in the rear (5.50x16), the two front tyres are Firestone (new, 4.50x16)
