Comentários do vendedor sobre 1953' Alvis TA21
Alvis TA21 1953 NJJ 582 was supplied by Brooklands of Bond Street in March 1953 to Mr Hardy of Bexley Kent. I have the original buff Log Book. It is a unique classic car due to it’s relative rarity, quality build and performance. My wife and I own a number of classic cars and this was a model that she liked. I didn’t know much about Alvis, other than it was a prestigious marque, but when I found it had a 3 litre straight six engine, we started to look for one. The engine by the way is a delight. If you are interested in the TA21, it’s not easy to find a good one, I believe there are about 300 left. We attend some shows each year and it’s not unusual to see plenty of Bentleys and Rolls Royce, but Alvis, no, Bertie always gets lots of attention. The car is up for sale because my wife finds the steering and clutch heavy. We bought the car in April last year and the 1400 miles covered have been driven by myself. I’ve too many vehicles and although I’d be happy to keep Bertie, she takes a more pragmatic view. The car is in excellent condition mechanically, the previous owner had it about 5 years and in that time spent of £4,500, covering about 3,500 miles in that time. I have all of the Mots dating back to 2002 and from that date to present it has covered 7767 miles. It runs perfectly with no issues, and the brakes are very good. There is some wear on the leather front seats, mostly the driver’s of course. In respect of the bodywork and chassis, there are no rust problems and no obvious bodges. I’d say there are no filled areas, but the paintwork is variable. Ideally the car would be repainted if a higher standard of finish were required. That said there is no urgency and the car can be enjoyed as it is. There is not a great deal of history with the car, mainly receipts and Mots. The main work carried out by the previous owner was to remove the cylinder head and refurbish, re-core the radiator and have some areas repainted. The car will come with a new Mot and full service.
