This quintessentially English model was well developed and proven by this time and several thousand units were built with great success.
She is a 3 owner UK car from new example which was restored around 1990 but still presents perfectly today in original Ivory with red leather with a charming originality only found in proper vintage cars.
It is rare to find a TA restored with original parts including the MGJG engine,gearbox,gauges,Altette horn etc and most original body panels indeed the only concession to modern driving is a superior steering box improving the feel and weight of the steering (original box is with the car)
The history file is comprehensive and incudes handbooks and invoices dating back many years
One could approach a 80 year old vintage car with trepidation perhaps believing they are fragile,difficult to drive and unreliable.
However how wrong you would be as the TA has good brakes, easy gearbox, great lights, steering and handling.
Indeed I was amazed at how easy she is to drive swiftly and with complete confidence with a top speed of 70 mph from the free revving engine enabling integration into modern traffic achievable and safe.
Whether you are cosseted inside with full hood and side screen protection or enjoying open top motoring she is great fun and a real joy.
