This Austin Mini Van built in 1977 and sold in dealership new in the Netherlands in 1978, has only had 3 owners... French registration French MOT 12-08-2022: 73087 km The various RDW (Dutch technical inspection) reports give: 11-03-2020: 72.256 km 06-04-2018: 72.129 km 04-06-2016: 63.300 km Exterior & Bodywork: Completely restored (body-off) in 2015 by the Dutch Artisans of 7Heaven Classics. The bodywork received many original panels (front, doors, side panels, floors and even an original roof hatch was installed, etc.) without forgetting sandblasting, priming, epoxy and passage to the oven...Which explains why the Mini Van is still in impeccable condition today... An anti-gravel product was then applied under the Van and in the wheel arches… The entire Mini Van has been professionally restored. After restoration of the bodywork, the Mini Van was reassembled with many new original parts, including: Lucas headlights, glass indicators, door hinges, original bumpers, etc... The windows are the original ones with new mechanisms and seals. The interior is completely new from Newton Commercial. The cargo area is in superb condition and the side panels are dent-free inside and out... Engine & Technology: Originally delivered with a 998 cm3, the 2nd owner replaced it with a 1275 cm3 A+ for better driving pleasure. In 2015 during the restoration the entire engine block was also overhauled, the SPI 1275 engine was bored out to 1310 (+0.040) and fitted with less modern parts to give it a more authentic appearance. The injection system on the engine has been removed in favor of a traditional HIF44 carburetor... The few parts replaced: Electric fuel pump, Millenium LCB exhaust manifold, Manifold exhaust system, Lucas Sports coil, Lucas 64D electronic igniter, silicone hoses, NGK spark plugs. R, 11-blade fan, etc… Mini A+ Rod-Shift 4-Synchro Transmission - 3.44:1 final drive ratio The clutch has been replaced with a 190mm Verto clutch. All copper pipes are new. Brakes: Mini Cooper S 7.5-inch front disc with 2-piston calipers equipped with a brake booster and Goodridge hose, new Mintex shoes at the rear. The aluminum fuel tank is new, float etc. included. The suspension cones were replaced and new adjustable gas shock absorbers were fitted. The front upper & lower wishbones are new with adjustable tie rods. Wheels & tires: The Mini Van is fitted with Dunlop Formula 70 165/70 Since the end of the restoration, the Van has driven a little over 10,000 km, it now has a total of 73,400 km.
