Seller's comments about 1973' Chevrolet Caprice

CHEVROLET CAPRICE 1973 5.7L V8

I have the pleasure of listing a car with probably the most interesting story I've ever come across.
I recommend that you read the description carefully, because this car is very different from most of the "Amcars" on display
VIN is too short for otomoto so I give it here - 1N69R3J300936
Before we get to the description, I would like to explain why we are the ones selling this car.
KURO is a company specializing in comprehensive service of premium cars.
For over a decade, we have been offering detailing, protection with PPF foil as well as mechanical and tuning services of the highest quality. We only sell cars of our customers. Well-maintained and regularly serviced. Before being put on display, the car passed a mechanical and bodywork inspection without any reservations. You buy the car directly from the owner! We only put them up for sale
Let's start with the fact that the Caprice was not recently bought at an auction and brought to Poland with the hope of making money. Chevrolet has been in one hands since new - Mr. Wiktor.
Below is a very abbreviated history.
During World War II, Mr. Wiktor ended up in a labor camp in Germany, where he miraculously survived and, thanks to the Marshall Plan, he went first to New York and then to Detroit.
There he found a job at Chevrolet as chief electrician. In the 1950s, by a happy twist of fate, he was found by his wife and two children (previously considered victims of deportation to Siberia)
Together they lived another 25 years in the USA. Mr. Wiktor was a big fan of motorization and previously drove a Chevrolet Bel Air from 1956, then a Chevrolet Impala. He often went to races and motoshows in Detroit. When the time came to return to Poland, he bought a brand new cherry Caprice at his factory, the so-called Fisher Body.
Fisher started out as a "coachbuilding" company building contract cars, mostly for GM. In the following years, it was fully purchased by General Motors and they used it as additional production lines for several of their models.
The car came to our country on board probably the most famous Polish ship "Stefan Batory" - of course the buyer will get all the photo documentation.
In Poland, the car was driven sporadically - it was simply too big for the roads of that time. On the other hand, Mr. Wiktor took great care of its technical condition, which can be seen in the photos and in operation.
Caprice drives de facto like a new car. The tooth of time may have slightly affected the bodywork, but not the mechanical issues.
The engine has a brand new battery, oils and filters. It fires up in a second, and delivers power very evenly.
The suspension, as befits the USA, is very soft, but it does not creak at all and accepts even large inequalities stoically.
The interior shows no signs of wear. Even the rubber and plastic elements or the stickers visible in the photos are untouched.
The so-called White Wall tires and "hub caps" are also in perfect condition. Driving it is not only a pleasure but a kind of time capsule.
The car actually has a few minor flaws
- few scratches on the body
- tiny and protected rust spots
- tarnished chrome on the mirrors
The car was serviced on a regular basis, insured, underwent inspections and drove from time to time to maintain optimal condition.
The owner also left some brand new parts for later use
- New manifold cap and manifold
- New headlights
- New fuses
- New V-belt
- New carburetor filters.
- New manifold gaskets and some others.

A film about the story of Mr. Wiktor and his Caprica is being created for the 98 Oktanów channel on yt.
Today it's really hard to find a car from the USA on "black plates" with such low mileage, condition and history - that's why we want to find Caprice a suitable, new home.
The transaction is based on a purchase and sale agreement.
Inspection possible only after prior telephone or e-mail contact.
