1939' Chevrolet Master 85

Right-hand drive, 216 cubic inch/ 3. 5 litre 6-cylinder OHV engine, 3-speed floor mounted manual gearbox. Maroon paint with tan leather interior, body by Fisher Coachbuilders. Businessman’s coupé layout with two doors, two front seats, rear bench seat (good for storage but minimal legroom), and very large boot.

No bodywork dents or rust, with a full Waxoyl treatment professionally applied to the underside. Underside almost like new. In excellent condition with many thousands of pounds spent on this car during my nine years of ownership. Invoices and receipts supporting this.

 • The car attracts greater attention and admiration than any of the other classics I have owned, including Rolls-Royce and Bentley models.

The car was manufactured in Canada for export to New Zealand (still bears NZ tax badge in the windscreen) before being sent to Holland in 1992, where we believe it was restored, before finally being imported to England in 2012, the year I acquired it.

The previous odometer (included) reads 4, 234 and the replacement, fitted in 2014, reads 1, 464. Impossible to say exactly what the car’s total mileage is. But from my own engineering background I would honestly say that the total mileage cannot be very great and the car must have had mostly careful owners who cherished it.

Full detailed receipts are available supporting the work undertaken and inspections of the vehicle are invited to verify its good condition. It is stored in a carpeted, heated and humidity-controlled garage. The car is completely reliable and cruises happy on the motorway at 55. The 6-cylinder engine provides good power and reasonable mpg. Reluctant sale: as I have too many vehicles, it is not used regularly and the car deserves to be enjoyed.
