Novas make terrific muscle machines. After all, this 1970 Chevrolet Nova SS tribute already has the right look of intimidation, and thats before you even see the strong dual-quad small block and four-on-the-floor. Black is the most intimating way to distinguish it from other Novas. The finish also has a nice gloss and shine to show off the desirable fastback-style profile. It has all the right aggressive touches for the classic SS-style appearance, including the SS grille, cowl hood, and blackout rear panel. And we absolutely love the added street machine attitude that comes from the 18-inch Riddler wheels with an extra wider rear set. Plus, the brightwork has a nice Americana feeling with body-hugging chrome bumpers. But what really sets this one apart is the full-length orange stripe package. It shows off the straightness of the sheet metal while also looking distinctly sporty. The blackout presentation continues inside. This is factory correct to the car, and the clean look of the door panels, carpeting, headliner, and upholstery show there was investment later in life. But theres no real extra fluff here, because after all, we love Novas for being able to put big power in a smaller/lightweight package. So this one doesnt have too many superfluous features. Instead, it just gives you the right driver-focused features like the upgraded gauges mounted on the A-pillar and a Hurst floor shifter. The engine bay is the right mix of stout components and show-worthy style. After all, the clean metal inner fenders are both stylishly bright and race car worthy. They help funnel your attention to the brightly polished V8 heart. Its a later small block with center-bolt heads. Were told this 350 cubic-inch V8 was upgraded to a 383ci stroker motor, and it even shows the right signs and power of this kind of upgrade. Plus, there are power upgrades with dual Edelbrock four-barrel carburetors, an Edelbrock intake, and long tube headers feeding into the dual exhaust. It also has good supporting components, like the aluminum radiator, steel braided lines with AN fittings, and battery mounted in the trunk for better weight distribution. Best of all, you are in complete control of the power and its rumbling soundtrack thanks to the four-speed manual transmission. And power steering, power brakes, front discs, and modern sports tires make for a good all-around driver. This is the quick-revving power Nova thats a ton of fun to drive. So dont let this SS tribute slip away, call today!
