1978' Ford Escort

Original RS2000 X-Pack, owned at the time by Swedish pilot Per Eklund. This was one of the official Ford Germany Racing Cars. Even though this car has an official Ford Motorsport Certificate, only took part in one single Rally droven by Per Eklund. There are only two of these cars in the whole world.
For those who wanted more from their RS2000, Ford offered the 'X-Pack' kit of accessories, which offered improvements for the body, wheels, engine, transmission, rear axle, suspension, steering and brakes. Originally registered on the Continent as 'K-HJ 184' , the drive car offered here is one of only two known surrvivors of five press-fleet RS2000s built by Ford to promote the X-Pack series options available from Rallye Sport dealers. Not all the options went into each of the cars but between them they showcased everything that was available.

This particular RS2000 is fitted with Group 1 Zakspeed-type glassfibre wheel arches with three-piece front spoiler; Group 1 twin-carburetor engine assembly (150bhp); 7_5x13 RS alloy wheels; full Group 1 Bilstein suspension with anti-dive kit; 'quick' steering rack; Rocket (close-ratio) gear set; limited-slip differential; ventilated brake discs with heavy-duty pads; and a set of Scheel seats.
