This 1957 Ford Thunderbird has a particularly cool color combo, proper V8 power, and desirable features - including both hard and soft tops. And with a nice list of recent investments, it makes for an icon that stands out in all the best ways. White looks great on a Thunderbird. After all, its a timelessly attractive color, and the first-generation T-bird is a rolling icon with timeless appeal. This is an upgrade later in life and that means nice details like a hint of pearlescent glow when the sunshine hits this bright white classic. These cars are means to be enjoyed, and its easy to call this a cruiser-ready finish. What that means is it has a nice gloss that will radiate to show off the straight body, but the overall impression that will never make you nervous to take it out for some fun. The white looks great coordinating with the whitewall tires and white time wheel covers. You even get the choice of how to button up this car fully with either the white convertible top or white hard top for a very elegant total style. And of course, theres the brightwork. It looks terrific from the hood scoop to the trim on the taillights. And the shining chrome bumpers are essential with the front one making up half of the cars face, and the rear nicely integrating the dual exhaust. Theres also excellent detail work, right down to the trim on the fender skirts. While either color-matched roof gives this a good look, a first-gen Thunderbird is really meant to be enjoyed with no roof at all. And in this case, its going to be hard to resist sharing the bold red interior with the world. After all, this color combo is as classically attractive as Marilyn Monroe wearing her white dress and red lipstick. This is an upgrade later in life, and so just like the exterior, it looks striking without becoming a museum piece. And everything is kept highly vintage, right down to the AM radio thats there for display. Theres a healthy dose of brightwork on the door panels, dash, and steering wheel and its all complete and shining like a good classic should. The thin and grippy wheel feels great in your hands, and it gives you a commanding view of the full gauge panel. The larger D-code 312 cubic-inch V8 was a nice option in 57, and so its ideal to still have the correct displacement under the hood today. The motor has nice flair with the shine of the polished Edelbrock air cleaner and special Thunderbird valve covers. Plus, theres a newer Edelbrock AVS2 four-barrel carburetor sitting on top of this V8. In fact, the consignor states the carburetor was part of a recent tune-up that also included a new battery, the radiator overhauled, electric fans installed, and dual exhaust updates. So its a solid package that warms up to be a strong runner. This is the kind of classic that wants you to feel the road, but it also is never rough in a Thunderbird. Thats why you have easy cruising features like automatic transmission and power steering. Formal style meets fun cruising in this Thunderbird. Dont let this deal slip away. Call today!!!
