The Jaguar Mark VIII is a large four-door sedan with a sporty character that appeared at the London Motor Show in 1956. The Mk VIII resembled the Jaguar Mark VII from the outside, but its interior was much more luxurious. External differences can be found in the grille, the position of the fog lights, the size of the tail lights and the curved finish of the car's waistline. Like its predecessor, the Mk VIII was also available in a two-tone paint scheme and featured an additional curved, one-piece windshield. The offered copy was imported from the USA and has a steering wheel on the left side, which makes it even more unique. It is equipped with a six-cylinder in-line engine with a capacity of 3442 cm³ with a power of 210 hp and a maximum torque of 292 Nm. The specimen is equipped with a Borg-Warner automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive. Within 3 years of production, only 6,227 units left the production line. With 6,227 examples, the MK VIII is by far the rarest model of the three 'Big Cats'. On the other hand, over 30,000 MK VII and over 10,000 MK IX were produced. Part of the MK VIII fell victim to the great fire at the Browns Lane factory in 1957. The offered copy was imported from the USA, from Pennsylvania. The vehicle is 95% complete, always garaged. The car was made on a special order by Catal J. Ormando, as evidenced by a plaque on the dashboard. It is also interesting that the presented copy played in the music video for the song Fart by Neuoberschlesien. Car checked starts and drives. I think this copy is a great base for a unique project.
