The 1941 Lincoln Zephyr sedan makes for an interesting premium classic that few of us ever get to see. But not only is this example looking sleek and complete, but it also has been given the right upgrades to be a great cruiser to show off near or far. These pre-war Lincolns truly had style. Running boards were disappearing, and so the idea was to make everything a bit sleeker. Thats why the waterfall grille flows back into the fenders, and those fenders have a long wind-swept style. And of course, the long slope of the rear makes this look like a torpedo for the road. It has all the right classic details with full-length trim, suicide doors, and rear fender skirts. And we especially like the intricate front bumper that splits in two between the overriders. Plus, youll pick up on little hints that this is an upgraded machine. Its in everything from those dual exhaust tips to how the classic/aged maroon actually has an extra hint of radiance from a metallic finish. You know youll love opening up all the doors when you park this one because theres just something extra attractive about a suicide door sedan. And when you do, the interior also has plenty to show off. The gray cloth has a soft velour feel, and the diamond pattern inserts on the seat and doors are pure vintage cool. This one has been built to be a true cruiser, and because its size can carry plenty of family and friends, there have been the right upgrades in comfort. It includes an AM/FM/cassette stereo and provisions for R134a air conditioning (it likely just needs a recharge to blow ideally cold again.) And to make sure the driver is always happy, you have an upgraded wood-rimmed Grant GT steering wheel, a tilt column, and a dash full of upgraded gauges. The engine bay continues the hint of a vintage custom build with the color-marched firewall, inner fenders, and brackets. And at the center of it all is quite an interesting powerhouse. These were born with V12 power, but progress means the 350 cubic-inch V8 under the hood today actually has 30 percent more displacement. This one is even said to be a much more potent powerhouse with a .030 bored over kit, polished ports, polished rods, chamfered oil holes, a high-volume oil pump, and an Isky mid-range cam. Its topped with a Weiand intake and a four-barrel carburetor. This makes for a stronger kind of street machine, and its also an all-around cruiser. Thats why it has a three-speed automatic transmission as well as an updated front clip with disc brakes and rack & pinion power steering. Its rare to find such a complete example of this sleek Lincoln sedan, and this one is also a strong runner. So you know thats the kind of combo that will turn heads all around town...and beyond.
