Seller's comments about 1924' Pierce-Arrow Custom

1924 Pierce-Arrow Custom Speedster For consignment, a 1924 Pierce-Arrow custom speedster showing 50 miles, but the true miles are unknown. This is a unique build with a 400ci V8, Wilwood brakes, and wild shape. Exterior Looking like a highboy roadster from the front, a tall grille is flanked by lower headlights and surrounded in Steel Blue paint which covers the rest of the body including the louvered engine covers, wide cowl, straight paneled doors, and boat tailed rear section. The tapering tail with its curved body lines meets a part of the tubular frame that contours under the tail and up to the center in an unusual feature weve never seen before. Black tubes also provide side steps which are helpful for a car propped up on 15-inch Wide 5 wheels with Wilwood Nascar hubs and 75 series tires with a late 2020 date code. Robust window trim bases the two part windscreen and a rear roll bar adds even more ovoid shaped highlights and wears matching black, while a Jaguar gas cap provides the petrol portal. There are no glaring imperfections on the exterior. Interior Blue vinyl panels create a smooth surface on the inside making room for one piece of hardware in the door opener. Inside, black vinyl bomber style bucket seats reside in front of the body colored dashboard with four spoke steering wheel and white faced gauges in a sparkling clean setting. A marbleized brown handle sits atop the shifter that rises from the floor, topped with gray carpet and blue vinyl panels protecting the kick panels. Drivetrain Behind the engine cover resides a business oriented 400ci V8 with an Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor over and Edelbrock intake, and headers below. Its mated to a T5 5-speed manual that routes power to the Winters quick change rear end. Cast aluminum valve covers, an aluminum radiator, electric fan, and Mallory ignition all grace this engine with functionality and curb appeal. Undercarriage Alls clean underneath and between the tubular frame we have dual exhaust that flows through Hushmaster mufflers and find their exit out back through straight, steel pipes. Wilwood supplies the disc brakes to front and rear and suspension is mirrored front and rear with 4-bar and a transverse leaf spring. Lots of the underside can be seen from the outside and thus, presents cleanly. Drive-Ability Definitely a first for us and likely anyone who gets behind the wheel! The 400 comes to life and emits a fantastic noise and we roll this one of one onto the test loop. Theres nice power underfoot and of course visibility is perfect, but were not sure how fast were going because the speedometer and odometer are not working. The car tracks straight and provides a comfortable interior thats just on this side of amusement park ride, and twice the fun. The brake lights only come on when the brakes are pushed hard while all other functions on board operate as intended. While Classic Auto Mall represents that these functions were working at the time of our test drive, we cannot guarantee these functions will be working at the time of your purchase. Maybe youre in the market for a T-bucket or similar old school hot rod build and stumbled across this out of the box build. Now you can have your rod and have something completely different too. Something so extraordinary, even the hot rod crowd will take notice, and theyve seen everything. This is a show ready, turn key vehicle and all you have to do is sign on the dotted line.
