This 356c was built in late August 1964, and delivered to its first owner- a Mr Freeman of Atlanta, Georgia in the USA in 1965 through Brumos Porsche in Jacksonville Florida per the copy of the original Kardex that comes with the car. The car came to Ireland in December 2020- it is Irish/ EU registered and has been in my family ownership since then. Prior to arriving in Ireland, the car spent a few years with a UK based owner after being exported there from the USA in 2016. Exterior: The car was originally painted Champagne Yellow (6405) when it left the factory. It was repainted to Light Ivory- which is also a 1965 factory colour (6404) in 2016 by a previous owner in the US. Today, the car presents well, the exterior chrome is in very good condition. It’s not a concours condition car, the paint work has some minor blemishes but these add to the nicely patinated appearance of a car of this age. The car won the Overall Members Choice award at the Porsche Club Ireland 2021 Annual event. Interior: The interior is in lovely condition, with the seats and dash panel having been reupholstered in 2007. The original Blaupunkt radio still works along with the interior lighting. The front seats have had lap belts added in the past, whilst the glovebox locks as it should - with the key also present. Mechanical/ History: The Chassis number is 219689 and the engine number is 715641- this engine is very close to the original engine number on the Kardex- it is a 1965 C engine number. The car drives great with the engine pulling well- with receipts showing a Nuetek ZH-1 Cam added as part of an engine refresh in 2017 for improved road performance with the original Zenith Carbs. It’s still in its original 6volt specification. The Transmission number is 81587 and this is original to the car per the Kardex. The Mileage is currently 84, 512mls, in my ownership the car has been only lightly used for local summer drives and events. At 84, 015mls the car was fully serviced by a Porsche Specialist which included replacing transmission oil seals, and a cavity wax. In 2022 I added new Vredestein Sprint Classic tyres to the car. Prior to my ownership the history file/ invoices that came with the car shows engine work at 83, 272mls in 2017 in the UK and further back an extensive mechanical overhaul at 76, 538mls in 2007 in the USA. The car is located and available to view in Dublin, Ireland. Located 15 minutes from Dublin Airport. Further Photos available.
