This car was supplied new in Exeter & spent most of it's life there. I have owned the car for six years, & in that time, it has had, a complete strip down & rebuild ( photos to prove), which included, engine rebuild, new clutch, new braking system, suspension checked & rebuilt, new exhaust, five new tyres, chrome work re chromed, new window & door seals, inc. front & rear windscreens, also waxoiled & undersealed.
The extra's for this car, include, genuine original " Ace" rimbellishes, front seat belts, twin "Triumph Herald" horns, period "Lucas fog lamp", extra gauges, which are "Temperature", "Ammeter" & "Vacuum", plus socket for Sat. Nav. etc. Reverse light, twin door mirrors & exterior sun visor.
I was a Standard / Triumph mechanic, when this car was produced, & i have maintained it. I appeared on one of the first episodes of "Bangers & Cash". I do not want to sell the car, but circumstances mean i have to.
There is also all the paper work, with the car. The car has been to a lot of shows, inc. Llandudno twice. Just to experiment, i took the car to 70mph. on the motorway, using the Sat Nav speedometer , just for a few seconds. ( The top speed in the manual is 68mph ). I was passing an artic. at the time at the top of the M62, a frightening experience. The car will drive at 60mph all day normally .
