Seller's comments about 1933' Wolseley Hornet

Quite an enchanting little 30’s Tourer, don’t you agree? Your attention is well-placed for this comprehensively restored Wolseley, originally bodied by Abbey Coachworks of Wembley. The period colour-scheme with aluminium bonnet panels suits this car perfectly and the whole package oozes charm.
The generous history file which accompanies this car highlights the significant expenditure bestowed toward its upkeep and restoration. There’s too much to list, but in summary, the front suspension and steering has been rebuilt, the brakes overhauled and a new set of wire wheels, spinners and Blockley triple stud tyres fitted. Mechanically, all is sound, with rebuilt carburettors, starter, and dynamo, whilst a recent fuel pump has been added. Our Wolseley starts promptly and runs smoothly, the gearbox which takes little time to master being smooth in action with the brakes stopping the car as one would expect.
The interior and accompanying wet-weather gear is nicely patinated and appears to be in original specification, not torn, and not deteriorated in any way which would detract. Offered at what we believe to be a very fair price, with several others having commanded more at auction in recent years, and any comparable alternative 6-cylinder open tourer almost certainly likely to cost considerably more.
Please note; In recent years this car spent some time on Jersey and as a result we’ve had to re-apply for a fresh V5C. There are no taxes or duties to pay, but it could be a handful of weeks before we have the new V5C through from Swansea. We’ll update this note as/ when we’ve news.
