This one is just too much fun to pass up. It only takes a quick glance to know this 1967 Morris Minor is not just some classic British economy car. The wild paint and big wheels are just a hint at the V8 power, custom sports suspension, and full race cage thats contained within. So this is the full custom build for someone who knows really cool things come in small packages. This one makes sure people know its something special from the first moment it comes into view. The blue paint has an electric level of shine and a nice metallic element embedded in it for added brilliance. So there the radiant look does a terrific job of letting the light draw added attention to the curvy steel design of this iconic Morris. But while the silhouette is pure retro-cool, no one will ever mistake it for stock. Deleted bumpers, cat-eye headlight covers, side exhaust tips, and full custom pinstriping add a cool level of hot rod details. And of course, the size of the rear wheel/and tire combo will have some people wondering how you can fit so much rubber under such a little car. The performance theme continues inside. High back racing seats with proper racing harnesses let you know this cars full intentions. The back seat didnt have much space for people before, and so now its better utilized for the tubbed rear wheels. And the racing cage adds both safety and strength. Just because this Minor screams race-ready does not mean that you cant enjoy amenities. Theres an AM/FM/CD stereo in an overhead compartment, and theres an air conditioning compressor if you want to complete the installation. And the interior looks good with a clean headliner, black carpets, and matching door panels. The steering wheel is on the right-hand side as a proper tribute to this cars British roots, and theres even the Smiths central gauge on display, too. But youre really going to be looking at are all the new AutoMeter gauges surrounding it. Toggle switches, a tall shifter, a large Sunpro tach, and a detachable racing steering wheel are all part of a competition-style custom machine. Youll be amazed at how much motor fits under the hood of this Morris. This is a Chevy 350 cubic-inch V8. Its one of the special high-nickel blocks, and it has been bored to a stout 355ci...and thats just the start of this build. The motor has been enhanced and fortified with a steel crank, 10.5:1 TRW forged pistons, Chevys pink shot-peened rods, Crower chromoly pushrods, a Crane Cam w/mechanical lifters, Weiand water pump, an Edelbrock gear drive, and a Mallory ignition. It inhales deeply with an Edelbrock 750 CFM four-barrel carburetor and Edelbrock Performer RPM dual plane intake. It exhales with added power and authority as custom headers feed the 2.5-inch exhaust, equipped with Magnaflow mufflers. This powerhouse is mated to a three-speed automatic transmission built with TCI 2700 RPM stall, B&M Transpak, and Art Carr valve body. It sends power to a Ford 9-inch limited-slip rear, equipped with 3.70 gears and Strange axles. The front suspension has been fitted with a Ford Cortina strut setup with American Eagle coilovers, and in the rear, youll find an Art Morrison four-bar setup. Add in disc brakes in front and massive Hoosier tires in the rear, this is a true street-eating Morris. The sale comes complete with build receipts, maintenance records, and title documentation.
