Is this the lowest mileage twin wheel Transit panel van in existence? Ford Transit 175 twin rear wheel Transit van available for sale. Only 3,600 miles since new - totally genuine. Every single journey logged until the last couple of years and 400 miles.
UNRESTORED - TOTALLY ORIGINAL
Delivered new in 1974, this van was used as a private fire engine for a large Sellotape manufacturer in Switzerland, being such a large factory, it was important for them to have their own fire engine as they were not near a main fire station, it was kept in a heated garage and is fitted with winter tyres. No rot or torn seats etc, totally original.
WOULD MAKE A GREAT RACE CAR TRANSPORTER
It is possible to find fully restored Transit vans occasionally (normally they are dropside trucks rather than panel vans) but I have never been able to find a totally original and unrestored twin wheel van.
This can either be kept as a fire truck, or it could easily be converted to a period race car team van.
