Seller's comments about 1964' Austin Mini

1964 Austin Mini MK1 DTO118B
This was originally a standard spec MK1 Mini, but in recent years she has been restored with a load of engine and suspension upgrades. The previous owner had planned on making her into a track car, so fitted a 1275cc engine from an Austin 1300GT, fitted fully adjustable suspension front and rear, and also fitted a lightweight front subframe.
At the front she has rose jointed lower arms, adjustable tie bar and Hi-Lo suspension. Along with 7. 5 inch disc brakes on rebuilt hubs with new bearings and swivels.
The rear subframe is hard mounted to the car, with Hi-Lo’s, adjustable camber brackets.
The body has had extensive welding done to a high standard with the correct front panel and sills. As can be seen from the pictures she is in really great shape.
It is unfortunately missing most of the interior. I have sourced the bucket seats and a headlining frame with new vinyl kit to go on it, fitted the heater and started to sound deaden the inside, but thats as far as it goes.
I haven’t had the engine running yet as there is still bits needed and assembly before I was going to fire it up. But it looks clean down the bores and its very clean up around the rockers. I have recently fitted a new oil pump and water pump too.
She comes with a box load of spares, the door windows, catches and chrome runner, and the fourth minilight alloy which currently doesn’t have the tyre fitted, and the exhaust too.
Overall, with all the hard work done, this is an excellent opportunity to complete a great little car to your own specification with the finishing touches needed.
