This early Chummy has been the subject of a detailed restoration and will be much admired at Club meetings.
With the correct magneto engine, open centre wheels, six inch brakes, a three piece bonnet, complete repaint and retrim it is a splendid example. Presented as original with no holes drilled to carry extra lamps, switches or reflectors it is in 1925 showroom condition. It has been re-wired, the radiator re-cored and has the correct Benjamin electric horn. The hood, sidescreens , upholstery, trim and carpets are all new. There are a few period accessories such as a Powell & Hanmer bulb horn and a Smiths wind up clock matching the speedometer. It comes with a near complete set of correct tools, a handbook and an original Schedule of Charges for Repairs For optional fitting is a reproduction Boyce type temperature gauge. Modern grease nipples have been fitted for convenience but all the originals have been kept with the car and can easily be substituted. A battery isolator switch has been fitted
There is an extensive portfolio of photographs showing the “nut & bolt” restoration. The car was sold to me by Richard Biddulph of “Vintage & Prestige” as fully restored, the previous owner having deceased. I have made some minor adjustments and acquired the tools. The engine oil, gearbox and back axle oils have been changed, the brakes adjusted and all lubrication points attended to. There is a soft fabric cover tailored to fit the car with the hood down and a carry bag for this.
