Seller's comments about 1978' BMW Seria 6
I am selling the BMW E24 visible in the photos, a copy in probably the most historic version, i.e. the carbureted 630CS, manufactured a year after the production was transferred from the Karmann plant to the factory in Dinglofing :) This is one of 314 630CS/A units produced in 1978. The car was registered in January this year (third party liability insurance purchased for a year), of course, it got new filters and oil before the season, and I have driven it almost 2,600 kilometers without any major problems until now. Among the major works that have been carried out in recent years: head renovation (including running in the valves, replacing worn-out elements such as levers, rollers, eccentrics, etc., exhaust manifold pins), I do not have a collective cost estimate, but we know what the expense was even 5 years ago. The engine works really well, revs, maintains temperature, is dry, does not smoke, does not make any disturbing sounds. After the head was made, the valve clearances, ignition and carburetor were adjusted. New parts: Pierburg fuel pump (PLN 450), Hella voltage regulator PLN 100, blower transistor PLN 50, ASO carburetor insulating collar PLN 120, BERU ignition cables + NGK pipes PLN 600, new interrupter and capacitor from ASO PLN 100, front and rear TRW pads PLN 150, front TRW pad assembly kit PLN 50, rear ASO PLN 400, front bumper rubbers + their ends ASO PLN 600, new soundproofing under the hood + cutout of the middle one like the original PLN 500, trunk partition housing ASO PLN 150, Someone the previous owner installed a new cap, finger, spark plugs, radiator, viscous clutch, water pump and thermostat, so these elements are quite fresh. Before starting the car, all flexible and rigid fuel lines were replaced with new ones, including the tank vent lines, and the tank itself was replaced for used and in good condition. All carburetor vacuum lines are also new. Similarly, apart from one rigid one, which is original, all other rigid and flexible brake lines are new. Front and rear brake calipers and brake master cylinder after regeneration. I do not calculate the costs because I did it all myself. Suspension without play, works well, stabilizer links recently replaced. The axle is quiet, the gearbox shifts well (the oil was changed in the amount that fits in the oil pan). I am adding to the car: a second carburetor if someone wants to have it rebuilt so as not to ground the car for that time, although the currently installed one works properly, there is also spare air, fuel and oil filter, passenger seat decorative strip, new soundproofing sponge for the ASO tool kit, grease for the interrupter and there are probably some little things that I forgot. Important information: this car was once completely renovated (according to my guesses, around 2010, yes I date it after some finds in the car), during which the color was changed from the factory graphite metallic to alpinweiss. The painting itself was done correctly (removal of windows and all decorative strips) and good materials were definitely used because today the paint coating on the car is mostly still the paint applied during the mentioned renovation, and as you can see in the photos from a distance similar to that during normal use, it looks really good, up close, it is known that after a dozen or so years of renovation, something will be found here and there. Mechanical things include the exhaust system, although it does not have any holes, it is still factory and in a rather moderate condition (the new middle muffler is easily available on ebay, the final it also happens often because it is common to these three engine versions), there was a moment when I wanted to buy it, but more important expenses arose, I also had to do the handbrake. The electric windows, sunroof and horn do not work. I think that no one with their feet firmly on the ground will be disappointed with what they will find during the inspection, the six looks really good for this budget! I invite you to view and test drive, possible price negotiation possible on site after the inspection! I am not trading for any other car - only selling
