Very unique find this Citroen H Depannage.

It is another of the early type as delivered in France, wherever it comes from.

Very nice and special construction this tow truck, we never actually come across it.

There is still work to be done on the car if you want to restore it. But also super natural as an advertising object, and perhaps even better actually a museum piece.

A great piece of automotive history, this Citroen H Tow Truck.

Was used by garage owner Alfred Kiefer from Beaulieu Sur Mer in the South of France.

The Citroën Type H - as the original French name reads - is a design by Citroën, under which various variants, including the HY the best known, were produced between 1947 and 1982. This type was the successor to the TUB (Traction Utilitairé de type B). This type is also popularly known as Citroën HY or Citroën H Van (English name). With its characteristic 'corrugated sheet body', the H was a well-known appearance in Europe. The car remained in production almost unchanged for 34 years, a record for a van.

The H has appeared in many hundreds of variants, as a camper, catering sales truck, pick-up, horse transport truck, and with four-wheel drive, etc. In Belgium, the H was a favorite as a mobile chip shop and in the Netherlands, the H could be seen in Sesame Street, among other places. The H was also active in the Netherlands, in the form of the HY and later the H1600, as a Technische Patrouille Wagen (TPW) (nicknamed chip shop) in supporting traffic-technical tasks for the national police.

Zeer leuke en bijzonder opbouw deze takelwagen, die komen we eigenlijk nooit tegen.
Er is aan de auto nog wel werk, als je hem wilt restaureren. Maar ook super natuurlijk als reclame object, en misschien nog wel beter eigenlijk een museumstuk.
Een geweldig leuk stuk autogeschiedenis deze Citroen H Takelwagen.

Wat zou deze takelwagen allemaal meegemaakt hebben daar?
Bij de auto is de Carte Grise (Franse docuemnten) nog aanwezig, hiermee kan de auto geregistreerd worden.

De Citroën Type H - zoals de oorspronkelijke Franse benaming luidt - is een ontwerp van Citroën, waaronder diverse varianten, waaronder de HY als bekendste, werden geproduceerd tussen 1947 en 1982. Dit type was de opvolger van de sinds 1937 bestaande TUB (Traction Utilitairé de type B). In de volksmond wordt dit type ook wel Citroën HY of Citroën H Van (Engelstalige benaming) genoemd. Met zijn karakteristieke 'golfplaatcarrosserie' was de H een bekende verschijning in Europa. De auto bleef 34 jaar lang vrijwel onveranderd in productie, een record voor een bestelwagen.

De H is in vele honderden varianten verschenen, als camper, horecaverkoopwagen, pick-up, paardentransportwagen, en met vierwielaandrijving etc. In België was de H favoriet als rijdend frietkot en in Nederland was de H onder meer te zien in Sesamstraat. Ook was in Nederland de H actief, in de vorm van de HY en later de H1600, als Technische Patrouille Wagen (TPW) (met de bijnaam frietkraam) bij ondersteunende verkeerstechnische taken bij de rijkspolitie.

Sehr schöne und spezielle Konstruktion dieses Abschleppwagens, wir haben ihn nie wirklich gesehen.

Es gibt noch Arbeit am Auto, wenn Sie es restaurieren möchten. Aber auch super natürlich als Werbeobjekt, und vielleicht noch besser eigentlich ein Museumsstück.

Construction très agréable et spéciale cette dépanneuse, nous ne l'avons jamais rencontrée.

Il reste encore du travail à faire sur la voiture si vous souhaitez la restaurer. Mais aussi super naturel comme objet publicitaire, et peut-être encore mieux comme pièce de musée.
