Seller's comments about 1981' Ferrari 308
1981 Ferrari 308 GTBi – XBC 203XChassis No: ZFFHA01Cthe details belowMileage: 27, 490 miles• One of just 128 RHD examples• Low mileage from new• In single ownership for the past 35 years• Converted to carburettors using genuine Ferrari parts (original injection system included)Often viewed as the natural progression from the Dino 246 GT, the early 308 GTB models are gaining proper recognition for their clean lines, straightforward engineering, and rarity—particularly in right-hand drive form. Just 128 GTBis were delivered to the UK market, making them increasingly hard to find in today’s collector landscape. This particular car was first registered in October 1981. By 1989, it had found its way into the hands of a passionate Italian collector via Graypaul Ferrari. He would go on to keep the car for the next 35 years. While off the road, it received a complete engine rebuild with new bearings, gaskets, belts, and fuel hoses. The engine has yet to be fully run-in. More recently, the braking and suspension systems were refreshed, including new caliper seals, driveshaft bellows, and a rebuild of the electric window motors—all completed within the last 28 months. Before returning to use, the car underwent a full bare-metal respray, along with professional detailing. Today, the paintwork presents smartly overall, although light corrosion is beginning to show at the base of both doors. The trim, interior and switchgear remain in very good condition, with all electrics functioning as expected. The air conditioning system will require a re-gas, following restoration work to the front radiators.Finished in Rosso Corsa over Crema hide and accompanied by a spare set of original wheels, this 308 GTBi presents as an ideal prospect for someone seeking a well-kept, low-mileage example with just the right level of mechanical individuality. With careful running-in, it promises to
