Seller's comments about 1932' Ford

Traditional looking streetrods are red hot right now, and it seems that everything that was old is new again. Hotrods like this slick black 1932 Ford 5-Window Coupe definitely have the right idea, and thanks to decades of development, you can have the vintage look without the vintage headaches, because this beautifully restored Lil Deuce runs like a new car. With a 350 V8 crate motor topped with three 2-barrel carburetors, an automatic transmission, and a surprisingly spacious and comfortable custom A/C interior, this 5-window coupe is the perfect fit if youre looking for an old-school style rod that can stand-up to the elements of today. Black paint is EXACTLY what you want if youre looking for a proper Deuce coupe, and with a finish that was completed in 2015, it looks exceptionally good on the slick bodywork of this hotrod. Its a very substantial build, featuring a fiberglass body shell built over a tubular steel super-structure that provides terrific reinforcement, and the work was done to a very high standard befitting the legendary status of these original cars. Fords 5-window coupe is always a favorite, and finishing it with black paint thats contrasted with visible red accents from the front grille, custom pinstripes, and wheels, not to mention the bright interior, all give it a very definitive 50s low-buck vibe. But this is no homemade rod, with a professional build that takes great pains to look old but drive like new, it was built for the street and has been only lightly warmed-over to prove that it can handle itself out on the streets. Finish quality is very good, disguising the fiberglass substrate as laser-straight sheetmetal and emphasizing the classic Ford shape. Door fitment is great, and the rear deck lid shows fairly even gaps all around, which was tough even in 1932 with original Henry Ford steel. More traditional tricks include deleted side-openings to show off the engine, that aforementioned pinstripe work that crescendos out back into a really cool design, the exposed and polished front suspension and chrome spreader bar in the rear, and King Bee style headlights. No doubt someone did their homework before a single bolt was turned. Contrasting with the slick black exterior, the bright red vinyl interior is first-class travel all the way. With finish quality and features that kids in the 50s could only dream of, someone spent a ton of money finishing the inside of this little coupe. Traditional pleats on the red power-actuated bench seat, door panels, and inside lining of the cabin keep it all looking high-class inside, and features like the pinstripe work on the slick-black dash thats been filled with a comprehensive set of TPI-Tech gauges harken back to an era of early custom builds that got Americas love affair with streetrods started. An angled Hurst shifter juts out from the floorboards and manages the automatic transmission below, and a cool-looking 4-spoke steering wheel was mounted atop an Ididit tilt column and provides the perfect hotrod driving angle in the cockpit. Seatbelts provide the safety, a Vintage Air A/C system was installed and blows cold, and a Secret Audio AM/FM head unit was built into the bulkhead above the windshield and manages speakers stashed throughout the cabin. Dark red carpets insulate the cabin from road noise, and out back the trunk is finished to match, with red carpets and side panels, and theres plenty of room for a cross-country cruise. A 350 cubic inch V8 crate engine tucks under the hood and makes this Ford a total blast to drive. Theres nothing too radical there, although old-school tricks like the three 2-barrel Rochester carburetors atop an Offenhauser aluminum intake and ceramic-coated Sanderson headers are part of the package that separate this 32 from the usual builds. Theres plenty of flash under the hood, with bright chrome valve covers and three mini air cleaners topping of the Tri-Power set-up, and the block itself was painted bright red to match the cars exterior accents. Its a great runner, pulloung the lightweight streetrod with ease in-and-out of the corners and blasting off the line, and power steering and power front disc brakes ensure a great rid every time out. The TH350 3-speed automatic snaps through the gears with enthusiasm and theres a color-matched Ford 9-inch rear end out back that handles all that power without skipping a beat. The undercarriage was built to show off as well, with chrome and polished components throughout, and slick-black painted details everywhere you look featuring an upgraded suspension with a polished straight axle up front and a 4-link with coilovers in the rear. Bright red steelies come adorned with chrome beauty rings and Ford hubcaps that add the perfect amount of finishing pop, and the tires are set-up in the classic big-and-little combination with 165/80/15 front and 265/75/15 rear radials. Very reasonably priced and pulling no punches, this is a heck of a lot of hotrod fun and old-school Ford tradition in an extremely attractive package. Call today!
