For sale is my 1964 Ford consul capri 1500 deluxe.
I have owned the car for 19 years in which time I have completed a nut and bolt rebuild.
Bodywork
The body work underwent a full bare metal respray, in which time all the rust was cut out and replacement panals fitted including headlight panals, original steel front wings, original floor pans, and painted in the original Monaco red, with the underneath being black and fully wax oiled.
No rust bubbles have appeared since the respray.
Interior
The interior of the car is immaculate in original atlas grey with five star head lining as it left the factory, and was made by Aldridge trimming.
Mechanical
The 3. 9 rear axle has been has been rebuilt with new bearings and seals, rebuilt rear brakes with stainless wheel cylinders, all new fuel and brake lines and hoses, rebuilt front brakes, discs and pads.
Rear lever arm shocks striped cleaned and fresh oil, polybushed rear springs where needed,
Recent new, front shocks, lower ball joints, steering idler arm and bushes, track rod ends, and rebushed where needed.
Engine & gearbox
1500 5bearing crank bored out to 1750, with gt head unleaded head, four branch exhaust, twin Weber’s, high pressure oil pump, new cam and timing chain.
Just hand full service with new Dynamo and regulator, fan belt and thermostat.
Summary
I have built and owned this car for 19 years and is as close to factory as I could get and is a good solid example of a very rare car covering just over 6000 miles since the built.
it is moted every year with no advisory’s.
It gets lot of attention everywhere it goes and won best restored classic at the great Dorset steam fair.
It is aways garaged and never goes out in the wet.
I also have to go with the car lots of pictures, books, and some parts
