1973' Ford Escort

Ford Escort MK1 in need of full restoration. Last on the road 12 years ago and been unused since it failed its MOT on sills and floors. Its fitted with a 2. 0 Pinto 5 speed box and has a lot of good bits on it. Will need a lot of work mainly on the floors area and a paintjob.
We have the V5 and keys here and will try get it running this week.
Body - Standard Mk1 Escort 2 Door shell in need of restoration. Inner wings look ok. Needs work on outer floors, sills, arches, door and wing bottoms . Chasiis rails look like they have period repairs and would be better replaced. Lower front panel is also grotty. Boot wells look solid enough but been repaired in the past and want doing properly. Door posts look OK. Paintwork is well weathered and lots of cracks in the paint and lacquer peel. Will need a full repaint one metalwork has been done..... basically a full restoration. Shell looks to have been 5 linked at some point.
Mechanics - 2. 0 Pinto, Alloy Sump, High Lift Cam, Twin Weber Carb. Alloy RS mounts, 5 speed box, Rear disc conversion. Bilstein front struts. Not had it running yet but will do so this week. engine turns over easily by hand.
Interior - Bucket seats, 6 dial 110 mph dash, rs steering wheel. Door cards are rough.
Wheels - MK2 RS wheels which would be fine with a polish. tyres will be too old and will need replaced
Fair bit of graft needed on this one but a lot of good bits on it, which now cost fortunes. Please feel free to come and see it. Be aware it looks better in the pics than it actually is. It is a full resto. Delivery can be arranged if required. Please ask for a quote
