The body was designed by Malcolm Sayer and was characterized by a light, streamlined shape with a very long mask. Enzo Ferrari himself spoke about the style of this model, calling E-Tipe "the most beautiful car in the history of motoring." New in those years was the use of an independent rear suspension, designed by Bob Knight. E-Type also had disc brakes both at the front and back, which was a continuation of the technical thought used in the XK150 model. In the e-Typa it had a capacity of 3.8 liters and a power of 269 HP. It allowed to reach 100 km/h in less than 7 seconds. Still in the first series of the model, starting from December 1964, a newer 4.2 liter motor began to be installed. He had the same power as its predecessor, while he produced a larger torque (385 instead of 353 Nm). In 1967 a modified version of Jaguar appeared on the market, the so -called "Series 1.5" equipped with engine 4.2. Due to the restrictive law regarding exhaust emissions on the American market, the triple car carburetors were replaced by two Stromberg devices, which reduced performance to 245 horsepower. Series 1.5 was produced from 1967 to 1968 and was the rarest model of this legendary car. In total, 6726 copies were created, of which 2801 cars with an open body. E-Type has long been very popular among collectors. Prices of this jaguar are constantly rising, while series 1.5 is the most valued right after the initial series 1. History, the closed Jaguar E-Type Coupé is a car from the United States, and more specifically from California. The car was produced in 1968 and this is a rare transition version with the designation 1.5. Before bringing to Poland, the car was not used for at least fifteen years, but there are many indications that it stood unused even longer. On the spot in Poland, he was demolished to the last screw and folded back using preserved parts and new components of very high quality, bought from renowned sellers. In the process of reconstruction, which lasted about three years, they tried to close as closely to the factory condition of the car while maintaining craft precision, it was also possible to avoid any compromises. The original color was restored and the entire interior was re -seized, selecting the materials that best corresponding to this original. Only slight modernizations were allowed, such as the installation of tubeless tires. The car is simply in a phenomenal state, as if it came straight from the production tape. Everything is functional in it, and his performance and parameters undoubtedly correspond to the technical given officially given by Jaguar. On the other hand, such a car, apart from its aesthetic values, is also an excellent investment. Purchase of a classic e-Tipe will definitely pay off and driving experiences are invaluable.
