Is this the best RHD Series 2 Fulvia HF in existence?
Unparalleled structural originality, condition, mileage and provenance.
An uncompromising £50K, 2 year restoration managed by Day & Whites Automotive was completed in 2021, and limited miles since. Just 46K miles from new.
Few long term owners; purchased by me 10 years ago from the current Lancia Club President.
Featured on ‘Harry’s Garage’ as an originality reference point; Harry describing it as ‘concours, uber and mega’.
Displayed on the Lancia Motor Club stand at the London Classic Car Show 2021, representing the Fulvia model.
Not been offered for sale on the general market since 2005.
Freshly serviced and MOT’d by Day & Whites.
BODYWORK: Immaculate Rosso York paint following an £11K refurbishment by ‘Panelcraft Concours Vehicle Restoration’. Ziebart treatment from new saved the bodyshell and as a result very limited metalwork was required; the car maintains its original un-welded floors and sills with all spot welds visible. Bilt Hamber cavity and underbody protection applied.
All body trim professionally polished or re-chromed.
POWERTRAIN & MECHANICAL/ ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS: When stripped, the engine showed little wear; John Day at Day & Whites completed a full rebuild of the engine including new bearings/ shells/ rings/ valves all of standard size. Full rebuild of gearbox including new crown wheel and pinion set.
John overhauled every component; each has been stripped & refurbished, or replaced with new, using specialist suppliers for services such as header ceramic coating, carb refurb, subframe powdercoating, brake component refurb, vapour blasting, speedo/ tacho refurb and zinc plating.
The only subtle upgrades from factory specification are Dellorto DHLB carbs (having been with the car for 20+ years), a facet fuel pump for priming, and a 123/ Huib Geurink distributor (the original is with the car).
INTERIOR: Standard and unrestored with exception of new carpet.
WHEELS & TYRES: Powder coated and running on 2020 dated period-correct Michelin XAS tyres.
HISTORY FILE: 300 page restoration and history dossier, service invoices and MOT’s back to the 1980’s, original jack and toolkit, 2 sets of keys, car cover and a number of spare parts
