Seller's comments about 1974' MG Mgb Roadster

This fantastic, exceptional driving upgraded MGB Roadster is one of those cars that just needs to be driven. For the last six years it has been owned by an MG enthusiast and MGOC club member who has spent considerable money improving and upgrading the car ensuring it offers enhanced performance and a driving experience that really does put a smile on your face – its quick, handles superbly, offers sharp brakes and it quite simply outstanding to drive.
This special car is running a 1950cc lightened and balanced Oselli Stage 2 engine with HIF carburettors that was fitted in 2009 and since then, the MG has covered 10, 000 miles. Between 2009 and 2010 in the region of £10, 000 was spent on the car to include the Oselli engine, high torque starter, alternator, hood, walnut dash, door panels and a full re-spray on what was an incredibly straight, solid shell. In 2016, the MGB was sold to the last owner who has further enhanced and upgraded the car, spending around £8000 including servicing and maintenance.
Since 2016 the MG has been upgraded Gaz shocks all round, new parabolic rear springs, rear panhard rod, uprated front anti-roll bar and drop link kit and the braking system subject of new calipers, servo, discs and pads. The MG is equipped with ‘123' electronic ignition, it's had a 12 volt battery conversion, wire wheel conversion so new stub axles and wheel bearings and a stainless-steel exhaust system with an S/ S extractor manifold ensuring a lovely exhaust note.
Mechanically the MGB is excellent as expected with the specification and recent expenditure, and with a lovely smooth gearbox and working overdrive, our MGB is perfect for long distance touring. The MG presents very well with nicely aged Damask Red finish, bright chrome work, chrome wire wheels, a tidy, smart engine bay and boot compartment but importantly, this is a structurally excellent solid car with superb underside and straight panels. This attractive, honest car has been garaged over the winter months with a CTEK charger in place, and each year with its last owner has covered around 1000 miles between Spring and Autumn, offering fun, high quality, reliable classic motoring. A fantastic car ideal for regular use, touring, and comes with an impressive specification that would be very expensive to repeat today.
