Seller's comments about 1970' MINI Cooper

KEY FACTS
This Austin Mini Mk II is an eye-catching and unique example of the characterful and popular city car, boasting a notable engine upgrade and with a raft of other high-grade components to make it an exciting road or track car.
Under the bonnet now sits an Eaton Vmaxscart supercharged and bored out 1, 340cc (+60cc) inline-four, now producing an estimated 125bhp and driving the front wheels through a four-speed manual transmission with straight-cut gear set.
The car is built to a track day specification with a bolted-in roll cage, a Sparco racing driver’s seat and harnesses, quick-release bonnet clips, and a tow hook.
Alongside the modified engine, the car also benefits from a just-completed repaint, but retains its original restored all-steel body shell.
EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES
This Mini MkII is finished in Signal Red with a contrasting black roof and ‘Group 4’ wheel arch extensions giving it a very purposeful stance, over a black vinyl-trimmed cabin with a fabric-covered Sparco racing seat for the driver.
It rides on a set of wide 10-inch ‘Mini Light’ (Minilite replica) alloys, shod with Yokohama Advan tyres.
At the heart of the build is the uprated engine, completed in 2017, comprising a bored A-series block with new cam bearings and centre main strap, the capacity taken to 13400cc with AE Hepolite high-compression pistons, the con-rods and crank balanced and lightened, a 731 cam and followers, and 1. 5:1 Minispares rockers. The large-valve cylinder head was also ported and polished.
An Eaton supercharger on a Vmaxscart manifold was added, coupled to a 1. 75” SU carburettor on a special Vmaxscart inlet; while the engine gas exits via a Maniflow LCB and RC40 exhaust system.
This engine is now linked to a remote gearbox that was rebuilt in 2018, with a straight-cut gear set, competition baulk rings, and a 3. 44:1 differential.
Its suspension setup uses red cones and Hi-Lo units, GAZ adjustable shock absorbers, along with adjustable rear camber plates, and 1. 5-degree front lower arms.
The specification also includes a three-spoke leather-trimmed steering wheel, an eight-ball gear stick head, Sparco ‘Sprint’ race seat and mounts, red RSA harness, the bolted-in Roll Centre 6-point cage, as well as Smiths gauges, and basic heating and ventilation controls.
Carpeting and sound deadening has been installed, along with an electric fuel pump and filters in the boot.
Exterior modifications include quick-release fixings on the bonnet, as well as a hole in the bonnet in order to accommodate the carburettor and air cleaner to the side of the engine.
There is a comprehensive built specification detailing the modifications and upgrades included below.
A file of paperwork and invoices is included in the sale.
