Seller's comments about 1967' Pontiac Firebird

1967 was the first year ever for the Pontiac Firebird. This convertible established a true icon of classic American driving. So it seems only fitting to find an example like this one that has a strong-running V8 and a quality presentation inside and out. That way the car we all love to see on the streets is also the one that loves to hit the streets. The first ever Firebird came on the scene with a bold style. The chrome front bumper forms the full front end, and it has an eye-catching point to give this Firebird a true beak. And the rear had taillights to make you think about the GTO. So when a car has a hot style, its great to have it finished in a hot red. This was an upgrade done about five years ago, and its a quality application that retains a good gloss. So you have a sunshine-ready convertible with a sunshine-ready shine. Crips body panels, newer rubber, and a well-fitting convertible top are all part of the fundamentals that keep this legend looking good. Not only does the black roof have an attractive style against the red, but also with the flip of a switch, it powers down to reveal a full black interior. The seats, door panels, carpeting, and essentials have a good and correct appearance. And the dash pad looks particularly nice and smooth. This drop-top was built to be a cruiser. Thats why you have a retro-style AM/FM digital tuner with aux input for all-day driving music. And the front bucket seats and wood-rimmed steering wheel give this a personal feeling. Nestled within the tidy inner walls of the engine bay is the light blue block that symbolizes proper Pontiac power. The 326 cubic-inch V8 was only on the 67 Firebird, and so its nice to have that displacement here. But this is a properly upgraded motor with an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock midrise intake, Erson polished valve covers, and a stainless dual exhaust with Thrush mufflers. This V8 also has been given investment in good driving qualities, like the electronic choke, upgraded ignition, and an investment in a valve job within the last year. It makes for a great-running powerhouse, and the three-speed automatic transmission offers easy enjoyment. Theres newer proportioning valve for the power brakes, front discs, a tight feeling from the power steering, and wide BF Goodrich T/As on classic Rally II wheels. It all comes together to make for a great driving total package. When you want to drive a legend, this first-year Firebird drop-top really proves it has everything you crave...including a value price. Call today!!!
