Seller's comments about 1957' Porsche 356

This Porsche 356A T1 has been extensively rebuilt with a keen eye for quality. Below is an overview of the main works and upgrades carried out on the car: Engine The engine was bored out in 2016 to 1720 cc and has since covered virtually no miles. Although it is not a matching-numbers example, high-quality components have been used, including a new AA piston cylinder kit, 912 heads with German valves, 912 rockers and a new webcam camshaft. The engine is fitted with NOS Italian Weber 40mm carburettors with vintage Speed stainless air cleaners and original Porsche throttle linkage, finished in silver CAD plating. Also equipped with a stainless Steel 4-branch Abart exhaust, stainless heater boxes, a 12V generator and a new voltage regulator. The Fram oil filter housing has been fully restored in correct orange paint, and all engine tinwork is powder-coated in satin black. The engine bay is lined in Pre-A style. Compression ratio: 9. 0:1. A technically advanced build, ready for use and show-worthy. Transmission Chassis The gearbox has been fully rebuilt with new bearings and synchroniser rings not matching numbers. The axles are powder-coated, fitted with new German wheel bearings, single-piece axle seals and all bushes renewed. Sachs shock absorbers and a slightly lowered rear axle provide a sporty stance matching the front. The steering system has also been renewed with a rebuilt ZF steering rack, new track rods, tie pins, stabiliser bushes and steering coupling. The aluminium brake drums have been rebuilt and remain within factory specifications. The braking system is fully renewed with new wheel cylinders, brake lines, brake shoes, master cylinder and handbrake cables. Ready for reliable driving pleasure. Interior The interior is reupholstered in the original red colour of the car. Replica Speedster seats are upholstered by Autos International in California, in red with plaid inserts. The seats are mounted on metal tilting sliding frames, original wood with stamped chrome rails. The rear seat and door panels have also been done by Autos International. Red German boucleturfs carpets are laid throughout the car, including behind the seats. There is also a German headlining and sun visors. The tops of the doors are powder-coated in the original burgundy-red colour, matched to an original paint sample. The original steering column is preserved and the steering wheel has been professionally restored, including a Porsche reproduction horn button with emblem. Original ignition switch and restored square door handles complete the look. A nicely finished interior with attention to originality and craftsmanship. Exterior The car is painted in Aquamarine Metallic Blue, the original colour in which this 356 was delivered in 1957. The paintwork and final finish were carried out by Porsche-certified Cosmos Collision. The left door hinge plate is intentionally left in the original paint as a reference; the rest of the car has been matched precisely to it. Equipped with European bumpers and correct low bumper guards. The car has an original Sigla windscreen, European Hella headlights with period-correct markings, and new rear light housings with European lenses. All chrome work is polished or triple-chrome plated by Alberta Plating. The fuel tank is date-coded and powder-coated in satin black. All rubbers and window seals have been replaced. Fitted with a correct, anodised replica engine lid prop and reproduction windscreen wiper arms with matching blades. The windscreen wiper motor has been rebuilt and converted to 12V. The car rides on Vintage 190 aluminium wheels.
