Seller's comments about 1923' Senechal Type Course

Many original elements show that we probably have a race type Sénéchal cyclecar, in fact the architecture of the chassis and in particular of its very sophisticated front axle, namely;

- forged and hollow front axle through which the front brake linkage passes,
- Hersot front brakes found on races models (production models only had brakes on the rear axle)
- Big brake drums (series models were fitted with smaller diameter drums)
- The layout of his very special nose gear, which can only be found in a photo of a Senechal at the finish of the Bol d'or with Robert Sénéchal.

Extremely rare automobile.
The Sénéchal have won the Bol d'or three times in a row in 1924, 1925 and 1926, which no other brand of cyclecars (in particular Amilcar and Salmson) have been able to do.

Robert Sénéchal was not only a car manufacturer, but also an excellent racing driver, and also a fighter pilot in 14/ 18 and 39/ 40 at the same time as an aviation pioneer.
Robert Sénéchal was considered a scarecrow in the race, he finished 129 times in the first two places in 132 races, whether on his own cars, but also on the Chenard & Walker tanks (factory pilot at Le Mans 24 hours) and also on Delage 1500 Grand Prix (he won the 1st GP of Great Britain).
Its Sénéchal cyclecars, fortified by its many successes, sold throughout Europe.

This car was found in chassis with its mechanics, a Chapuis-Dornier CST 1100cc engine, and its running gear but without its body.
Its chassis and mechanics are perfectly authentic and original.

The car is in perfect condition and is very light thanks to its canvas bodywork. Its mechanics are in very good condition. Recently a water pump was added to compensate for the cooling by thermo-siphon, not very reliable. On the other hand, the brake linings were changed as well as the installation of a new battery.

The car is visible in the Vaucluse department.
Delivered with the FFVE certificate.
