Toyota Celica ra40 2.0 XT from 1979 for sale. The car is in good mechanical and body condition. Imported to Poland in 2014, I am its first owner in Poland. For 10 years in seasonal use - rallies, trips around Poland and Classicauto Cup track days. Average annual mileage 2000 - 5000 km, total mileage unknown due to the fact that the odometer resets to zero at 100,000 km. The car is, of course, regularly serviced so that it can safely travel to events all over Poland. Since import, I have regenerated or replaced: carburetor, alternator, starter, shock absorbers, front springs, timing chain with wheels, tensioners, water and oil pump, all bushings replaced, shaft grinding, rings replaced but the pistons are nominal, they did not require replacement, valve seals , complete clutch (disc, pressure plate, bearing), radiator, exhaust and, of course, consumables such as discs, pads, drums, belts and spark plugs. As for the bodywork, the car is healthy in all critical places, but the paint is not perfect in places. The rear fenders definitely require repairs, where repairs were installed and they were amateurishly painted, as does the hood, which is currently covered with matte foil. Because I took part in Track Days several times with the car, it also has slight sports modifications, but they fit the tuning of the era, i.e. a harder Whitelin rear stabilizer, a front suspension strut, head processing by Chojnacki Motorsport, larger carburetor jets and an additional radiator fan, which is made to order and bigger than the factory one. As for the interior, the front seats visible in the photos are not included in the offer, of course I have the original seats in very good condition, with a single tear on the seam. The upper edges of the rear seats are worn, probably sunburnt. The trunk carpet is original and heavily worn in places. Apart from these shortcomings, the interior is in nice condition. Velor seats are not wiped or stained. The car is very pleasant to drive, the engine is powerful, it is dynamic enough to move in modern traffic, the gearbox has 5 speeds, so it is not difficult even on the highway. The car, as you can see in the photos, is registered as a historic car, so you can drive it in all "eco" zones in Poland, especially in Warsaw. The car is 45 years old and has not undergone a comprehensive reconstruction, it does not cost PLN 200,000, so it is not a piece of cake, for purists it requires at least minor paint work and, of course, regular maintenance. It will reward you with trouble-free operation and will turn many heads. I invite you to inspect and test drive.
