The body has been recently restored and received a full new paint finish. It presents in excellent condition with a uniform shade and superb gloss. After a professional polish performed by our workshop using an orbital machine, we noted a small dent and a few minor paint defects under the bonnet and boot lid paint, plus a small paint chip repaired on the driver’s door edge. The bumpers and chromed overriders were replaced during the body restoration. They are in excellent condition, though their alignment could be improved. The tan mohair soft-top is in excellent condition, though it has a few minor marks at the centre. Fitting is straightforward, though alignment with the side windows remains slightly variable.Rear quarter panels in PVC are completely translucent and show no cracks or breaks. This example features a Black faux leather tonneau cover (to be fitted). The 4 15" wire wheels are in excellent condition. They were painted Gun Grey during the body restoration. Their chromed knock-offs are in perfect condition. The 4 WideTrack radial tyres show less than 30% wear both front and rear. The spare wheel is present in its original location under the boot.Among the notable exterior options on this example are the Black faux leather tonneau cover.Interior:The interior was restored a few years ago to factory specification and now presents in excellent condition.Tan synthetic leather upholstery shows no patina or wear/ decoloration.Matching door cards are in excellent condition; only the map pockets show a slight colour difference. The original White dashboard and its Black vinyl top are also in excellent condition. There are small cracks on the centre console. All JAEGER instruments and the LUCAS ammeter are fully functional. The 3-spoke wooden MOTOLITA steering wheel is in perfect condition. The wooden Triumph gear knob shows minor signs of use.Carpet has been replaced during restoration and shows no wear or discoloration. This example is also equipped with aviation-type front seat belts.Among the equipment and interior options of interest on this car are aviation-type front belts, the 3-spoke MOTOLITA wooden steering wheel, and the Triumph wooden gear knob.Chassis:On lifting, the chassis and body are confirmed to be solid with no visible structural corrosion.Fundamentals: sills, wheelarches, inner sills, ladder-frame chassis and longitudinals are in very good condition.A trace of an old repair is noted on the front left longitudine. As a rule we cannot guarantee perfect alignment beyond what is visually acceptable and road-test validated.During the dynamic test, no abnormal rattles were found from the body or suspension components (ties, bushings, etc.).Braking is aligned and highly effective.Front discs and pads show under 20% wear.Rear drums are fully functional and show no seepage. The roadworthiness inspection performed by our workshop before delivery will confirm everything is functioning correctly.Engine / Transmission:The mechanicals were removed and rebuilt in 2017 by our specialist (invoice €6, 163).The block and cylinder head were skimmed, and the 4 sleeves and 4 pistons were replaced, along with the connecting rod bearings, inlet and exhaust valves, camshaft bearings, head and bottom-end gaskets, valve seats machined and all moving parts balanced.Compression tests and road test by our workshop confirm a healthy engine. The 4-cylinder starts immediately with no smoke or unusual noises and idle is stable, as shown in the 360° video with the engine running (available at the start of the slideshow).Cold oil pressure measured by our workshop is 70 PSI at 1000 rpm.On the road and when warmed up, the engine revs freely without hiccups or overheating. This example is also equipped with a chromed valve cover, a lead-free 98 catalytic converter and an priming pump. The cooling radiator was refurbished in 2016.In 2018 the front wiring loom was restored, the clutch hydraulic circuit bled and the fuel pump seals replaced (invoice €435).All four gears in the manual gearbox go up and down smoothly with no SYNCHRO issues. The clutch grip is good.As is common with older engines, some oil tightness between engine and gearbox remains.Other similar vehicles are also available. 50 photos + running engine video on CLASSIC-A
